While I was on the move from the Caribbean to Cornwall, I stayed on my sister’s farm in the Netherlands for a month, while sorting stuff out for the UK. I stayed in an old barn-type building which had this old wash table that was functioning as a make-shift table. I decided to do it up for her, and it’s upgraded to her bedroom since. I made the bottom shelf to match her bedspread and the colour of the piece totally matches her walls. Some pieces are just meant to be!
